What is a wireless router and how does it work?

So, I'm getting a notebook and am going to use the internet a lot. With a wireless router, would I be able to go to different parts of the house and still use the internet? What is a wireless router and how does it work?
A wireless router is a device that will allow you to connect computers either using wires or wirelessly to your internet modem so they can all get online at the same time.

Yes, you will be able to roam around the house and be connected to the internet, but depending many factors in your home, the range you can move from the router will vary...What is a wireless router and how does it work?
yeah, you can be anywhere in the house... maybe even some parts of outdoors and be online.

it wirelessly connect computers to the internet. WHat i mean by that is say u have 3 computers in the house. but only one of them got internet u can use a wireless router to get those other computers to go on the internet.....sorry if it seems complicated.
If you havent goten your service yet you can get comcast for 6 months for 19.99 its a great deal and you can order your wireless router and modem from broadband national just call them and place your order at 1st the equitment will cost $124 (including shipping) but then once you get your rebate forms you will get $210 cash back. and for the router it works anywhere in your house and around your house outside its a great thing. at 1st it says 100$ cash back but its really 210
