How do i disconnect a router and then connect a wireless router?

i got a laptop on friday and my home has a router that connects to the computer through a wire (a wired router?) but we need to put in a wireless router for the laptop to have internet and i was wondering if anyone knows how 2 do this easily? thanks so much!! :)How do i disconnect a router and then connect a wireless router?
Do whatever you did for the wired router. I got a new laptop too, and all we did was unhook all the cables from our old router, and hook them up to the new one. You will want to disband unneeded cables. Some (I think maybe all) wireless routers come with a setup CD so you can put a password on your router. You will want to run that if you have it (unless you plan on giving free internet to your neighbors.) If all goes well, you should be able to connect easy. How do i disconnect a router and then connect a wireless router?
How to Set Up a Wireless Router
Make sure the router you are going to get has Advanced Routing incorporated so you can re-route the old router to the new, and all will still get internet.

But it's as simple as plugging the WAN port of the new router, to the LAN Port #1 of the old router. But now before configging the new router to accept being basically a wireless AP. (No DHCP, let the old router handle that, put it above the old routers IP (old router = 192.168.1.1 - new router = 192.168.2.1, same subnet)....
