How to get more bandwidth to a server?

i am running a shoutcast server from my room, but we have a lot of computers on the same connection. With shoutcast servers with not allot of bandwidth you can only have a few people listening without it cutting out, lagging, or just going generally werid. I have a wired connection from the router downstairs, and i was wondering if i get the router moved up to my room would that improove speed? Any other ideas are welcome thanks. How to get more bandwidth to a server?
No it wont.

Only practical way is have your intranet wired for 1GB net instead of 100MB.

Other way: multiple routers and only use the port connected for Shoutcast.

(nearly imposable, single ip and port plus two networks cards on the computer and setting the computer.) or buy more bandwidth if you are going out on the internet.

If your router is more then 300ft away by wire, then it COULD give you a little bit more by getting it closer to you.
