Resetting Linksys Wireless Router.?

Okies, I've had this router for about a year, but i need to open up some ports apparently. However - I dont know the password, and apparently the only to get the password back is by pressing the reset button on the back.



After it's reset though, will I need to reconfigure it to connect to my virgin modem thingy? If so, could someone please give me a step by step guide on how to do so?

Use this password to log in. It isn't the one you set as the password, but it will still work. Leave the username field blank and for the password type in ';admin'; (without the quotes). linksys routers are all configured through the web based application.



you won't need to touch anything with the modem.
Open your internet Explorer or any Internet browsing application

type on address: 192.168.1.1

then Username and password windows pop up,

admin: admin then, try blank password



Admin: admin

pass: admin



try to check on linkys website
