How can I prevent my wireless router from interfering with my internet connection?

I have a Linksys wireless router that disconnects from the internet whenever I receive a phone call. It has something to do with the router switching channels, I don't know how to keep it from happening! How can I prevent my wireless router from interfering with my internet connection?
You're using a cordless phone? The phone is interfering with the router. Connect to the router and try changing channels (http://192.168.1.1/Wireless_Basic.asp the 3rd item). Channels 1, 6 and 11 are the ends and middle of the range, so use the one farthest from the current one.

Or you have a DSL internet connection? Make sure that everything plugged into a phone jack - EXCEPT the modem - has a filter on it.

Unfortunately, your phone operates in the 2.4GHz radio frequency range - the exact same frequencies that wireless Ethernet uses.

The best solution is to replace your phone with one that operates in a different frequency range, e.g. 5.8GHz.
