How do you strenghten a wireless connection through your router?

I have a netgear router that is the best you can buy, and also a USB connector thing that you insert to strengthen your connection. The connection reaches my room, which is two stories above the router, and it will stay connected for about seven minutes for each sign on, and then the conenction will be lost. What is the problem and what do I need to do?How do you strenghten a wireless connection through your router?
the best connection to to your router is a hard wire...an ethernet connection...i'm not sure what you mean by a USB connector thing to strengthen your connection. any disruption in the airwaves can cause wireless interference..it's a fact of life.How do you strenghten a wireless connection through your router?

and i can get signal to the end of my street

with a extended antena

so ah new router or your in a weak spot
try turning antennas sideways to go up and down. You can also put a range extender on the floor between but they aren't cheap.
Certain things will effect wireless connections. i.e. portable home phones and electrical devices such as microwaves and the like. I may be an idea to either move the connection up to you or purchase an USB wireless repreater that can be placed midway to help relay the signal.
how strong is your signal ? usb connector thing? is that a range extender?

I'm pretty sure it'll work.
I once sneezed and I lost my wireless connection. OK really, It may not be the router, It could be the host as well. Make sure both host and router are using the same channel.
1: the best routers you can get are EXTEMELY expensive at cant be bought at a regular electronic store



2: get a parkervision signalmax card. i hav 1 and the recepton is 2x as good as a regular card



or you could try a wireless repeater (range extender), but they are expensive (round $100-$150 not on sale)
