How to have a wired connection with a wireless router?

All the other people who answered... were stupid as hell.

I have a desktop, netgear wireless router and a nintendo wii. I want to have the wireless for the wii and internet with the desktop. So how to I make it work towards where i can just hook up the DSL router to the wireless then wire the internet to my desktop using the wireless router. I do not want to spend any money.. and I do know I can do it without $$$. Also I want it towards where the wireless router has my username and password towards where i dont have to type this in everytime i turn off my desktop (its annoying). Also i dont give a $h!t about wpa or any of that since i live in a rural area. There ya go.. fix my problem... please. And no dum answers.. please be detailed. How to have a wired connection with a wireless router?
Since you have a DSL router (we're talking about a DSL modem + router as one, right?), set it up to manage your internet connection. If it's a real router (and not one of these pseudo router that works through pppoe), then it's the router that control the internet connection (= no need to authentificate everytime you boot your computer).

Once this done, simply plug in your wireless router into your DSL modem/router as set the wireless router as a simple gateway. And voila.

hope it helps.

Edit: obviously, plug a wire from your DSL router to your computer ;). The thing is that the DSL modem/router is the master and the wireless router is the slave that routes packets from your wii to your DSL modem. How to have a wired connection with a wireless router?
Begin by plugging the DSL modem into the back of the wireless router. This will allow the router to send a wireless signal on to the Wii. On the back of the wireless router should be additional ports. Simple plug your desktop into one of those ports.

You will need to run the install CD for the router on the desktop to set things up. Once set up, you will be able to add the wireless devices. But you have to do the initial set up of the router using a wired device.
call the helpline phone number of the company that make the router as if you've just bought it and are configuring it for the first time.
