How do i connect a wireless router to my desktop and new dell laptop i just purchased?

I bought a netgear router. What is the easiest way to install without having to use the disk. How do i connect a wireless router to my desktop and new dell laptop i just purchased?
once you are logged into the router using the instructions offered above, enable encryption on your wireless connection. use wpa2 if your wireless devices support it because it is the strongest encryption. since the laptop is new it supports it.

then choose a password. save your settings. you should also change the ssid (name of your wireless network) from netgear to something unique. also change the admin password to gain access to the router from ';admin'; to something unique.

on your laptop, find your ssid in the available wireless networks and enter your encryption password.

this should keep most people from hacking your wifi network. How do i connect a wireless router to my desktop and new dell laptop i just purchased?
without knowing what kinda internet service you have (cable, dsl, dialup) kinda hard to say exactly, but see if this gives you a clue....take the cable plugged into the PC for the internet and plug it into the LAN port of the wireless router......then plug a cable from a WAN port on the router into your PC (probably RJ45 connectors)....the laptop should then be able to get the signal and connect to it
connect ethernet cable to ur router from ur desktop. type 192.168.1.1 or routerlogin.net

if it tells u to enter a password. the user name is admin and the password is password
