How to configure cisco router in the first?

I have cisco router swench I need to configur ti in the first time, and I need to use it in the local natwork. How I can do this? How to configure cisco router in the first?
The Cisco router will have a Console port on it somewhere. Along with the router you would also have received something called a 'roll-over' cable (Cisco terminology for a custom serial cable). They are usually a flat, light blue cable. You need to connect one end to the console port on the Cisco router and the other end to your PC. Then using something like Hypertem or Tutty you would connect to the router and configure it.

Some Cisco devices have a built in http server which you can enable through the console port (you'll also need to allocate and IP address). Then you'll be able to setup the Cisco router over http (via a web browser).

There are lots of examples on Google. Here's one.

At some point you need to setup NAT (Network Address Translation), here is nice tutorial:

does it have a USB/Old School serial connector? Whats the model number? Depending on how old i remember hooking up through telnet or a terminal program to do initial setup.
