How is it possible to reset a router over the internet, when no connection is present?

We are using a public router, but I accidentaly changed some settings making it impossible to get back onto the internet, on the cached page I seen a page that said you could reset the router and all it's settings through it, however it is impossible to be access it when I have no internet connection, anybody able to help? ThanksHow is it possible to reset a router over the internet, when no connection is present?
which router you are using ?How is it possible to reset a router over the internet, when no connection is present?
You can reset a router by physically pressing the reset button.

Or you can connect to the router via Ethernet cable or the Internet and reset things.

But that is it!

Apart from magic, obviously.
The only way to connect to a router is by either using a CAT5 (network) cable and plugging directly into the device localy, via a wireless connection locally or if the router has remote admin set up which would allow you to admin the device over the internet.
RESET IT!!
plug in a second ethernet cable into one of the external ports on the router and plug the other end into your comp, you will know be able to access the routers interface
